When you’re ready to create a space for your family to spend quality time together, and make the daily tasks like laundry a little less mundane, you go for it with a bold basement design! This basement started out as a simple partially-finished family room, and the clients wanted to maximize the space by adding a bedroom, bathroom, and gorgeous laundry room. Despite some challenges like the low ceilings and plumbing in not quite the right places, we created a space that gave this client multiple rooms that flowed seamlessly. The carefully planned layout coupled with the unique and bold design choices make this lower level feel very upscale. We built recessed coves with arched ceilings for shelving and bar spaces. The fun wallpaper in the laundry room that coordinates with the bold cabinet color makes spending time doing laundry feel like less of a chore. The cozy bedroom and full bathroom with fun tile make for a guest space that would be hard to leave!
