This 1904 home on a large lot in Oakland was in desperate need of repairs and updates. We gutted the whole house and updated all the mechanical systems, then got to work on the pretty things! A new functional and beautiful kitchen and dining area are the heart of this charming home. We saved as many unique and historic features as we could while adding additional living space to the third story. The new dormers look like they were original to the home, and help to create two bedrooms and a full bathroom in what was attic space. The home is now fit for a large modern family with a spacious master suite complete with a private sunporch and a second floor laundry room. This home was a true labor of love and displays how Kirkwood Home & Landscape can take a tired historic home and bring it back to life!
